Synchronicity & Leukemia

April 11, 2012 will mark ten years since my father’s death from acute lymphocytic leukemia. While I’ve known for a few months that this wouldn’t be an easy anniversary, I’ve taken much comfort from the fact that the first essay I’ve published about my dad — “The Volume of an Unheard Anthem” — will be in print from Potomac Review: A Journal of Arts & Humanities {blog} this month.
